The situation is becoming more serious as this malware evolves, making routers and NAS systems harder to protect. New reports indicate it can stay active even after reboots and control traffic flow. It’s expanding its reach to more devices, posing a growing threat.

If this reaches the serious level of widespread issues, it might be reported on security platforms. However, new threats appear every day, so why is it considered important?

This threat focuses on central devices that act as entry points for your home network, such as routers or NAS systems, which are often overlooked and lack updates. The malware can monitor information and compromise these routers.

We should definitely create an awareness video. It’s easy to address if you notice it early, just like I did on my Qnap, but if left unnoticed your whole network can be at risk. https://www.google.com/amp/s/metro.co.uk...592960/amp If it’s serious enough for the FBI to alert people, Linustech should warn viewers who are vulnerable and not aware.

The FBI has already taken action on this. Without software updates, you have limited options. The suggestion is to restart your router. What else can be said? I distinctly recall WPA 2 being introduced last year—it feels similar now. Seems like the only solution is to trust developers to improve security.
