It’s really bad. I understand different games have varying zones, but this level feels completely out of place—it really ruins the experience.

Switching to another controller doesn’t help either. I can’t make calibration adjustments via Steam, and the sensitivity settings don’t reduce the zone. In every situation, keyboard and mouse work better. My concern is that something is wrong with the hardware, possibly affecting the drivers or software, even though I’ve reset the OS several times for other problems. Could this be the cause? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Have you installed the Microsoft Accessories app and linked the controller via USB? You should be able to modify the controller's dead zone. This could involve adjusting both the controller's dead zone and the settings defined in the game.

It's a relatively recent Alienware Aurora R10 equipped with an RTX 3070 and 8GB of RAM. The system is installed on my primary drive via GOG, and I've also purchased the Steam version, which functions identically despite adjustments to the calibration settings.

Some games work well, while others behave like the video.
