While playing games such as Rainbow Six Siege I frequently encounter a BSOD with the message WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR or experience unexpected restarts. In Event Viewer I see a critical kernel power 41 error. I’m unsure if any components need replacing. Recently built system, only the PSU and GPU are considered outdated. Specifications: CPU – AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, GPU – MSI GTX 970, RAM – T-force RGB 32GB, Motherboard – B550 AORUS Elite AX v2, SSD – WD BLUE SN570 1TB, PSU – Corsair HX520W.

It looks like an outdated power supply from 2006 to 2011. I'm assuming you're testing its protection features, and it might be time to replace it with something newer.

I thought it was just to confirm none of the newer components were harmed.

System needs to draw under 520W, but you might be at 75% load, making it below 400W. A 5600x and GTX 970 setup could hit around 425W. That adds roughly 225W for the GPU, 150W for the CPU, and 50W for the system. CPUs in games usually don’t use much power, though they can spike to their maximum TDP. Upgrading the power supply might be wise. 600W offers a solid balance.

It really happened to me, everything failed in my system too—it was just the low-quality PSU.
