Hi, your R9 5950X is running at 60°C, which feels quite high. The clock speed stays above 4.4GHz because the NZXT Kraken X73 RGB is handling the cooling effectively.

No, your plan is configured for Performance mode rather than a balanced setting.

I'm checking how the system displays idle performance. The Task Manager doesn't give precise idle clock data on all cores. For a clearer view, try Ryzen Master or the "Effective Clock Speed" part in HWiNFO's Sensors panel.

No background programs or performance settings are needed to enhance speed.

Do you have CAM enabled? Your 5800x3D typically runs between 3600 and 4450. Something in the background might be affecting this.

Comparing a 5800X3D to a CPU with double the cores isn't straightforward, especially when considering idle and peak performance. From my experience, it's unlikely the CPU will drop below 4.4GHz under normal conditions. Anything above that is unusual.

Avoid these steps; they’re only useful for fixing issues and stop the system from slowing down when idle. Second, check the clock settings in Ryzen Master or HWiNFO’s Effective Clockspeed feature, not via Task Manager.

Adjust to a balanced setting, that should resolve the issue

You need to adjust the settings again. I’ll double-check using HWiNFO later to confirm it works. Just make sure it doesn’t idle at 60 degrees with the cooler in place.
