Hello everyone, I'm experimenting with APUs and it's really interesting. Could the SoC VRM and mainboard influence the potential of APUs significantly? Which mainboard would be ideal for an APU? My 3200G is running at 4GHz and 1.7GHz for the iGPU, while my 3400G is at 4GHz and 1.75GHz for the iGPU.

It might work only if it meets certain standards and can manage the needs at hand. Generally, even a reasonably good board is restricted by the available processing power of the APU.

Yes, the VRM phases can influence voltage stability on your AsRock B550M-ITX.

It's a decent board, but it's not a major concern. You're reaching the maximum capabilities of these budget APUs.

It depends on what you prioritize. The Gigabyte B550 Aorus AX ITX offers similar performance to AsRock but with a different design and features. Consider your specific needs before deciding.

The motherboard change won't help you. You've hit the maximum capacity of these chips.
