I connected my 24-pin component to the motherboard and noticed the PCB warped upon insertion. A faint crunch was heard during the process. Despite this, the device is functioning properly. Should you be concerned?

Theres usually a small bend because it takes some force to insert it all the way until it snaps in (and even more force to remove it ugh) though I've never heard any crunching so maybe its a good idea to check the back of the motherboard around that area.

PCBs on motherboards consist of several layers, so a crack could indicate an internal issue—though this remains uncertain. For a brand-new board, consider returning it if problems appear. Otherwise, continue using it normally.
