I checked and I’m a bit tight on funds, so I’m thinking about getting a ROG Strix. My mom can’t help with the cost, and I was planning to get an AMD Ryzen 5 for my birthday in July.

Strix motherboards tend to be priced too high. As I mentioned before, the ASRock B450M/AC is affordable and solid, around 75 quid. You could also consider the non-WiFi variant at the link provided. Another option is a MAX board from MSI that’s confirmed compatible with 3rd gen Ryzen chips. If you’re looking for a specific processor like the Ryzen 5 3600, 2600, or even the 1600 (12nm version), let me know!

Consider purchasing a used RX 470 or RX 570 to upgrade your GT 710 setup. This should noticeably boost your FPS. Your CPU performance is modest, but pairing it with a more powerful GPU will yield solid results. The GT 710 is likely the main reason for your low FPS. Avoid buying ROG Strix items unless you're ready to invest extra for brand prestige or style. In terms of performance, ROG Strix products often underperform compared to similar-priced alternatives, sometimes even lagging behind more affordable options.
