Your MacBook Pro is running an older version of macOS that doesn’t support the newer software requirements. You’ll need to upgrade your system by replacing the hard drive with a compatible SSD. Then you can install the audio hub and ensure it works with the updated OS. If you need step-by-step guidance, let me know!

This project enables older Macs to run newer versions of macOS beyond what they originally supported. https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/ Using an Nvidia GPU means you must either switch to Intel graphics or lose performance after a certain point.

2011 MacBook Pros lack Nvidia GPUs, yet it doesn't really matter because the OP has a 13" model without one. Which Nvidia GPUs aren't accepted? I understand some older models still don't function fully, but I assumed the newer ones (like the 2012 iMac, 2012-2014 MacBook Pro 15", etc.) were properly supported by OCLP.

I believed native Nvidia assistance didn’t exist beyond High Sierra due to Apple-Nvidia tensions after Metal’s rise. In reality, I’ve mostly focused on older Intel Macs, especially the beige models.

The problem mainly affects Maxwell and Pascal GPUs compatible with a Mac Pro. They needed the Nvidia Web Driver, which wasn't available in earlier versions. The 16/20 series (Turing) never received full macOS support for this issue. A few users managed to use the legacy driver in later macOS releases with OCLP, but it wasn't fully functional. Older Macs with Nvidia GPUs should still work properly. Some even have official macOS updates beyond High Sierra, like my 2014 15" MacBook Pro (GT 750M) running Big Sur.
