Machine powers off prior to BIOS following excessive overclocking attempt
I've been having trouble keeping my AMD FX-9590 stable since purchasing it. Initially, I managed to resolve the issue in the BIOS, but later needed to reinstall Windows and reset the BIOS again, which triggered the freezing problem once more. After trying several manual fixes in the BIOS, adjusting voltage and speed settings, my system would shut down before I could access the BIOS. I'm uncertain about the best way to recover from this situation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Reset your CMOS, check the battery on your motherboard, take it out for roughly a minute. Your board might have a small switch or a button that lets you reset it with one press. Check your manual if available or give it a quick look for a clear CMOS switch or button.
Thanks, I'm not sure if leaving it off for long enough allowed it to boot (theres no way the cpu overheated) or if the button I found in manual helped but im back in the bios now
