There is the possibility to add a "quirk" so that Mac Studio recognizes the ssd device of third-party (in order to understand what I'm talking about, just use a search engine). Obviously we are talking about theory (this technique is usually used with Linux): I not have a Mac Studio, I cannot verify it personally, and I do not intend to buy it Smile. Note that the "quirk" can also be added to the raspberry. Bye.

I watched a video about Louis Rossmann discussing the lack of a controller in the Apple SSD, noting it's built into the M1 chip. Some Linux developers are testing various Linux distros on new Apple devices. I think third-party SSDs will soon work without issues. In Italy, we call such situations "the secret of pulcinella."

The "memory module" in Mac Studio isn't a typical SSD. Replacing it would require creating a match and understanding the software's specific needs.

It's required to change one of the two controllers (processor or SSD) using software. Issues can be addressed. I think it's achievable.
