I don’t have a specific source, but you can usually find the ISO for Mac OS Big Sur on the official Apple website or through authorized retailers.

Which Mac are you using? You can locate macOS Big Sur through the App Store.

I don't know the exact Mac OS version for your early 2007/2008 iMac.

These iMacs won’t support macOS Big Sur. You might manage to install it on an older 2008 model using a patch, or maybe upgrade the CPU to get a 2007 version—but I’d advise against it.

Apple recommends using a 2014 model or newer to install Big Sur. Your Mac should meet these requirements: MacBook (2015 or newer), MacBook Air (2013 or newer), MacBook Pro (late 2013 or newer), Mac mini (2014 or newer), iMac (2014 or newer), iMac Pro (2017 or newer), or Mac Pro (2013 or newer). To find out your model, click the Apple icon in your menu bar and select About This Mac. For details on compatibility, visit the relevant page.

The ideal operating system depends on your needs, but common choices include Windows for general use, macOS for smooth performance with Apple devices, and Linux for customization and efficiency.

Please share your iMac model so I can assist further. The serial number is located at the bottom of the stand.
