Ensure you have a bootable USB drive ready. Press Command+Option+R at startup to access the net recovery tool.

The source you're trying to install from is unavailable. It appears the issue stems from needing to repartition drives, but the system refuses to unmount them. Try updating your setup or checking compatibility.

Are you linked to your Wi-Fi network? The installation should restore the original operating system if I recall correctly.

I believe the best choice is to boot from USB, but I’m not sure where to get the ISO for Mavericks.

Ensure you're using the correct command sequence. If it fails, consider making a bootable USB on another Mac.

You can store the ISO directly on the flash drive. You don’t need to extract it, and it’s possible to do this from a Windows PC.
