A few weeks back, I assisted a friend in setting up Windows on his MacBook Pro using bootcamp. Recently, he visited me and reported that the system is now malfunctioning. Upon inspection, when he tries to boot into Windows there’s no display, or it loads but then crashes and restarts into Mac OS. Any suggestions for resolving this issue? If it was a native Windows PC, I’d simply reinstall the OS, but since it’s a Mac, I’m not so confident.
Use the Bootcamp tool on macOS to delete the installation and reinstall Windows. Advise your friend to avoid changing display drivers in the future.
Consider turning off automatic updates and allowing only critical ones. Random updates can cause system crashes and force restarts, especially on MacBooks.
