I encountered a problem. It seems Windows XP isn't compatible with M1 Macs since they don't support Intel-based OSes. I'll need an emulator, preferably for XP or Windows 98. PCem doesn't work on Mac, and I couldn't locate any other reliable Windows emulators. Any recommendations would be appreciated. You mentioned the link to PCemV14MacOSX—do you think it's worth trying, or should I look elsewhere? Also, please avoid suggesting PCem for Mac version 17 unless you're comfortable with homebrew. I prefer simpler, non-command-line solutions and want to avoid installation hassles or removal issues. Just DMGs are fine.

Have you explored UTM? It can mimic x86/64.
