I recently purchased the Deco M4 (V2) 2-Pack and am using them as a router. I configured everything with custom cat5e cables and backhaul. I’m billed for 100/10 internet, but speeds drop to 30/10 when near the second deco. When I switch my phone’s Wi-Fi on or off, it returns to normal (100/10). If I move close to the other deco, it reconnects and drops again to 30/10. What’s happening? Is the issue with my device?

It might be helpful to check if you used another wireless device for testing. The capability to move between access points depends on the client device. Mesh networks and certain systems can guide devices to switch APs, but some clients tend to stay attached to the nearest one until the final moment. The spacing between M4 units isn't specified in this context.

A few days back it worked on all three devices I tried. I’ll re-test them today and share again around 10m or 26ft through walls. I’ll also use the app to verify when the device switches between them.
