M.2 to 3.0 USB interface
M.2 to 3.0 USB interface
Hello, I'm having trouble with the USB on my laptop. It doesn't work properly, but there are two M.2 slots available. I found something on eBay suggesting a M.2 to 3.0 USB adapter might be suitable for data transfers. Since I need to reinstall Windows, would that option be okay?
This appears to be specialized hardware not designed for standard USB use. It wouldn’t fit well with a typical USB thumb drive due to its size and shape. A better option would be an external case for an M.2 SSD (such as the one listed). Simply connect it to another computer, then place the SSD into your M.2 slot and begin the Windows setup. I’m unsure why your ports aren’t functioning properly, but it might help to check or replace them.
