It seems you're suggesting placing the screw in the M.2 screw package. Just make sure to locate the corresponding screw in the motherboard area.

It's not what you think. The M2 slots include tiny nuts on the motherboard. I purchased a 3mm set, but the card is positioned at a shallow angle.
