M.2 slot inside USB 3.1 Gen 2 standard?
I bought the NZXT H510 and saw both a standard USB 3 port and a newer USB 3.1 Gen 2 connector. Your motherboard lacks a USB 3.1 Gen 2 header and only has one USB 3 port. I discovered adapters to switch USB 3 to USB 3.1 Gen 2, but I only have one USB 3 header. Can I convert one of the two M.2 slots into a USB 3.1 Gen 2 header? I understand you can convert M.2 to regular USB 3, but I prefer not to use many adapters and want all my front ports accessible.

Didn't try it before, but since you can modify M.2 to fit PCIe 4x, I'm guessing these chips are just regular PCIe USB cards but in a smaller form factor. Probably not better than a standard PCIe card unless you had an ITX setup—then it might save money and even add more USB ports.
I own a NZXT H210 case and an ITX board lacking a matching header for the external USB-C port. Switching an unused M.2 slot would be perfect. It seems the original poster faced a comparable issue. Probably the best option is to purchase the device and test it out.
