With a Sata SSD in your M.2 slot, the port labeled 2 will stop functioning. If your motherboard supports M.2, it likely lacks a Sata_2 port and instead has Sata_3. It's typical for some boards to turn off the Sata_2 connection when using a Sata_2 M.2 drive.

When referring to the speed of the port, it is typically expressed as SATA3, SATA III or SATA 3. Avoid using SATA_2 or SATA_3.
