It's the slot at the very end as described in the manual. I'm going to set it to X4 and check. Fingers crossed it works.

It seems like you were hoping to wait longer before rebooting. Since it was configured as "Auto," it likely can't adjust PCIe speed instantly and may require multiple reboots to reach the desired performance.

Auto intends to verify if a card fits in the other slots and decide automatically, though this sometimes fails. Restarting probably wouldn’t fix the issue.
