Hey everyone, just wanted to share my plans for tomorrow. I'm setting up a new gaming PC with a big budget, mainly focusing on a CPU game like Rust. It needs a strong CPU with good cache and solid single-core performance. I'm planning to get an A520M HDV motherboard, which has a 4-pin CPU connector. My main concern is whether this new board will affect my performance, especially since I'm using an older PSU with both 4-pin and 8-pin GPUs. The GPU I have is a 1660 Super. Let me know your thoughts!

Your Ryzen 5 5600 should work well with it. The processor draws up to 88W under normal conditions, which is manageable without PBO support on A520 boards. In most cases, I wouldn’t suggest using A520 boards since they often miss features like overclocking and have restricted expansion options. However, if you have very tight budget constraints, a budget A520 with the 5600 can still be a decent choice.
