In short, I mostly tweak the Paladins game files but this patch just boosts my frame rate to 250fps instead of the usual 150. I'm running at the highest settings—1440p with 2xms—and still don’t hit 100fps often. My GPU usage is around 45%, and it’s the same for the odd thread count. It looks like RAM isn’t the issue either. There are plenty of resources available, but performance doesn’t match expectations. If anyone knows what’s going on or has tips, it would be super helpful since I’m running out of ideas.

Specs: GTX 1080 at 2088MHz, I7 4790K, 16GB DDR3, 1866MHz, all watercooled. Temperatures stay low—about 33°C on the GPU and 50°C on the CPU. Thanks for any advice!

Check if Windows and NVIDIA Control Panel are configured for performance. If yes, I'll confirm.

It seems there might be inefficiencies in use. I've tested Skyrim with heavy mods, using four cores at 50% and a GPU at 30%, which only gave me around 30fps. Minecraft behaves similarly, especially with budget titles from China or Korea. It could simply be not taking full advantage of the hardware.

Have you attempted to delete and restore the software? Also, check reinstalling the DDU and updating the Nvidia drivers.

It seems like you're suggesting it runs smoothly at 560fps when you fully unlock it and use the lowest resolution of 800x600.

You also enjoy 720p anime, while you prefer 1080p at 60fps.

720p mainly due to my internet limitations and the fact that most content I view is in 720p or 480p, hehe

I get all my anime and you don’t watch any recent ones? Only old stuff from before 2017, except for Fate/Apocrypha.
