Low temperatures during high performance usage.
Hey everyone, yesterday I shared my experience with the Ryzen 5 3600 reaching temperatures close to 90°C. I was worried and sought advice on possible fixes—like upgrading parts or adjusting settings. Some suggested reinstalling components or using a cooler, while others recommended undervolting via Ryzen Master. I tried that and set everything to 4.1 GHz at 1.25V. The results were impressive: I was only hitting around 65°C, even with light loads, and performance was better than the default. That made me question whether I was making mistakes or if something was really wrong. I’m a bit nervous about these changes affecting my system’s health. Why did my original setup get so hot? Now that I’ve tweaked voltages and clocks, it’s giving me hope—but also concern. I’m curious if these adjustments are safe and effective.
It looks like the temperature is normal at 1,328°C and 4.4GHz. The CPU reaches up to 71°C with the 2nd cooler. I’m not sure why it spiked before—maybe the thermal paste didn’t fully cure yet. Some pastes need time to set for best performance.
