In short, my video always looks blurry after recording. I've followed many tutorials and tried different approaches, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. My OBS settings are: Output Type – Standard Recording Path, D Drive, mp4, Audio Track 1, NVENC Rescale, CBR bitrate 5500, 0 keyframe intervals, High Quality preset, Ticked GPU, 2 B-Frames. I'm using 1920x1080 resolution with Lanczos downscale at 32 samples and a frame rate of 60 FPS. If you can share a screenshot of the grainy footage, it would be very helpful. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Seems to be a compression problem rather than grain issues...

No, I haven't adjusted the bitrate yet.

What bitrate would I up it to?

Consider starting with 10k files. Expect larger sizes and higher hardware needs, though the quality will enhance. Many users are handling 30-50k for 1080p60 recordings.

The advice from tutorials was to keep the bitrate under 6000. For a compression fix, consider reducing file size through better encoding or removing unnecessary data.

I'll attempt 10k.

GPU encoding remains less precise than H264, which relies on software processing via the CPU.

It depends on your needs. x264 is great for general video encoding, while NVENC works best with GPU acceleration for real-time processing. Choose based on speed and hardware capabilities.

If your processor supports it, then yes. Please include our quotes in your responses; otherwise, we won't receive notifications about them.
