It seems like this idea doesn't quite add up. My system costs a similar amount to a PS4, yet it performs better. Console gaming typically runs at 30fps, while PCs can be faster depending on the setup.

Perhaps NCIX referred to 4K resolution. They tested three sets of 4K monitors using Titan X SLI.

It's not the opposite, right? Games perform better on PC with higher FPS, and you don't require a top-tier card. This is my 270x running dying light. Sure, it's low resolution, but still comparable to a high-end console. An R9 280/i3 or i5 will make a console look good and justify the cost due to its performance boost, plus all the other benefits a PC offers that are well-documented.

128fps sounds intense—maybe explore a busier place full of people. I’m unsure if my R9 270 and FX 8350 are the issue, but I can’t hit steady 60 frames no matter what I set. Consoles seem to handle games smoother. We could debate whether 30fps feels okay compared to PC performance, but it’s definitely better than what I’m seeing.

It could be the FX's responsibility; these elements don't really stand out in the game.

Your game maintains a steady 60 FPS even in busy environments. With an i5 processor, it's similar to console performance, though the controller might add a bit of input lag.

Graphical settings in GTA range from standard to high to very high. That's the usual order.

I understand. That's why I chose Medium-High instead of High-Ultra or similar.

If he can't hit 60 frames per second on any graphics settings, it probably points to a CPU issue. Dying light doesn't tolerate AMD chips well. On my i5, I consistently get high FPS and never drop below 60, making the performance smooth. This is in a more "open" environment.

Wow, this AMD processor is really disappointing. Only eight cores and it barely keeps things running smoothly—capping at 30 frames per second is not great. I really hate it. Love the frustration over 998. Thanks for sharing!
