Only a few cores are being utilized. Your machine scores around 1845-1879, while your friend achieves 2579-2608 under identical conditions. System details match: Ryzen 5 2600X, stock MSI B450 Tomahawk, Corsair Vengeance, 16GB RAM, 3200MHZ, Windows 10 Pro 2004.

Checking RAM placement in slots 2 and 4, XMP support active? Overclocking used? Stock cooler installed? BIOS current version? Chipset drivers latest? I'm running a 2600X and planning to upgrade to 3000-3100.

Check if your 2600X stays cool, if your RAM operates at 3200 and uses dual-channel technology.

Ram placed correctly in slots, XMP activated, no overclocking, quiet operation. Dark rock 4 cooler, latest BIOS, updated chipset drivers installed.

I possess a nearly identical chip and achieve scores over 3000, which clearly indicates your computer isn't operating at its best.

Check for bloatware and background tasks. A screenshot from the task manager details section would be useful.

Have you checked the temperatures? It might be that the cooler isn’t secured correctly. Run HWInfo during the test and keep an eye on the temps and speeds. You should notice about 4GHz across all cores and temperatures near 80°C.

It seems you're questioning the value of 2600 points in this context. Let me know how I can assist further!

With PBO turned off and a cooler stock in place, it's feasible.
