I own the strix 970 that Linus checked out earlier, but the graphics still seem quite strange. I’ve played games like Witcher 3 and Far Cry 4, which run well with all settings enabled at maximum, yet they don’t look good. In both titles, the visuals are far from smooth and look pretty rough. Am I adjusting the settings incorrectly? Could there be an issue with the drivers? This is my first PC build, and I’m still trying to figure it out. Thanks ahead and have a great day!

I mean you're referring to something that doesn't appear aesthetically pleasing, and you'd like confirmation with examples. Do you have screenshots to share?

I connect via the display ports and am using either a computer monitor or a TV. The screen resolution is XYZ and I’m applying settings ABC. I’ve checked for the latest drivers and haven’t performed a full system reset yet.

Make sure to adhere to your own comments so you can track replies. For clarity, consider adding more detailed descriptions and including screenshots to assist with the issue. It seems Witcher 3 and Far Cry 4 might struggle under ultra settings on a single 970 processor. If you're using MSAA for anti-aliasing, expect some performance problems.

It's fast enough in terms of frames, but the visuals aren't very smooth.

You're connecting your PC monitor via HDMI at 1080p resolution without installing a new operating system.

Ensure the video cable links the GPU rather than the motherboard.
