I’m someone who rarely pushes hardware beyond its needs. For everyday use, a reliable mid-range CPU should suffice. Since you spend a lot gaming and code, look for something balanced with good performance and decent efficiency.

I wouldn't hesitate to invest up to 500 € in a powerful CPU, as long as it significantly boosts my performance.

For most gaming, use a 5600x resolution. If you need extra performance, go to 5800x. Intel offers better overclocking options, but AMD is a better choice here.

I mainly play CS:GO (a game that relies heavily on CPU) But I also use my PC for coding/development, etc.

I sometimes compile large sections of code. EDIT: A 5800x size would work perfectly fine.

I'm also using a 5600x for the same reasons and won't overclock it unless I'm feeling particularly bored.

Certainly, a 11700K works well, but I suggest going with the 5800X instead.
