for some time i believed there were GPU problems because games would crash and the frame rate didn’t match expectations. however, after running CPU tests recently, i’m uncertain if the numbers are correct or if they’re actually poor. temperatures stayed normal, never exceeding 80°C. i reset the bios, updated drivers, changed the chipset—but results stayed the same. cinebench scores show: multi-core 6862 (expected ~12k or higher with pbo), single core 1526 (normal). mp ratio is 4.50x (should be about 8 for an 8-core processor). pass mark reached 15528 (model average is 26920). 3d mark details are interesting but the green bar placement isn’t what i expected. photos help clarify. am i missing something or is this cpu not working right? my setup includes: windows 10, ryzen 5700x, liquid cooler, corsair vengeance rgb pro 4x8gb, gigabyte aorus elite x570, rx 7900xt, psu, and corsair rm850x.

The clock speed in Cinebench varies depending on the specific benchmark being run.

Mystery resolved—four out of eight cores are turned off. If enabling them in the BIOS isn’t working, consider resetting the CMOS.

Open Msconfig, navigate to Boot - advanced options, and uncheck "Number of processors."

Consider enabling PBO if it suits your needs.

PBO does not resolve an over 50% performance shortfall. Still, half of the cores are turned off as indicated earlier.

Sorry, I didn't catch the disabled cores (possibly in the BIOS). It might be a boost frequency issue, and you could lose many performances if the CPU stays at just 3.4GHz constantly.
