Low GPU usage in CSGO?

Hey everyone, I’m staying with my mom this holiday season and I’ve been playing CSGO. It seems my GPU isn’t using full power anymore—no 100% usage. Is there anything wrong with the game lately or with the updates?

Is it really important? Are you still achieving 60/120/144 FPS? Are you maintaining VSync? If yes, then that's the reason.

I don't believe CS should be relying on 100% of a 970 either... My card likely doesn't reach full usage while playing.

I achieve up to 77% GPU utilization in CS:GO, provided my FPS remains satisfactory.

I don’t even remember my typical performance, but I’m consistently around 90 FPS at 1440p on a G3258 and 7950. That’s pretty solid!

I used to understand it too, though it’s not consistent lately. It drops a bit occasionally. My recent scores are around 58-73% based on the quick check of my HWinfo chart.

Open CS:GO in Steam, go to Properties, adjust Launch Options, enter -threads 8
