I've been attempting to play the BFV beta and my performance is significantly below expectations. On low settings I'm seeing around 50-60 frames per second. I'm using an i7-8750hq and a GTX 1060 with 6GB of RAM (laptop). It seems BFV should work well on a 6-core/12-thread CPU, which I have, but the framerates remain low. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

A) You're using a laptop, which tends to overheat a lot.
B) Battlefield games often demand a lot from the CPU.
C) Merging A and B, you're likely experiencing serious CPU overheating.

I believed this could be the problem, so I started AIDA64 in the background to watch for throttling. At least it showed no issues according to it.

Could the problem be related to RAM usage? It's common for games to require over 8GB easily.

Also it is in beta so it might just be a bug.

The game is currently in beta and functioning as expected. Please ensure your video drivers are up to date—version 3.99 seems to be the most recent. What frame rate are you experiencing? Did you test it using dx12 enabled or disabled?

I have the latest drivers. I haven't really looked at framerates with DX12 but there's a lot of stuttering and random drops compared to DX11. In DX11 I'm getting between 50-70 FPS. CPU runs between 3.6-3.9 GHz

there seems to be no way to change between dx 11/12 versions. i experienced stuttering issues in both bf1 and bfv on a ryzen 2700x and gtx1080, tried everything but eventually gave up last night. i switched from windows 1803 back to build 1607 and the stuttering is gone now.
