Open NVidia control panel, select maximum performance under power usage options for this game. Experiment with various settings and observe the results. Consider running the game as an administrator. Try different configurations and troubleshoot the issue yourself. This isn't a guaranteed solution for your situation, but I'd only consider the forum as a final option. You're capable of solving it. Stay curious and don't hesitate to explore.

I understand that turning off VSYNC will let the GPU run at its maximum capacity. But for this game I’m testing it. Yes, it worked and the game feels smoother now. In my case, VSYNC isn’t functioning correctly and seems to be interrupting the game/gpu to boost FPS, again. This isn’t the best experience Ubisoft has offered, unfortunately... Well, I got it for free, so let’s enjoy it a bit more. Thanks everyone... I had no idea VSYNC wasn’t implemented well in this game. Update: I’m seeing strange lines on my screen because VSYNC OFF.

You're experiencing strange visual issues because the game isn't running smoothly. It might help to enable VERY ULTRA and VSYNC ON instead of just ULTRA. These lines and jumps are likely due to poor optimization.

Sure, the game isn't great, and I own it too. Free gayme with my 1070.

Poorly tuned game. They’re sticking to the same methods from the early 2000s, keeping ultra options for upcoming high-end systems. 1080Ti & Titan.

I purchased a 1080Ti and got the game for free. I sold it and bought a used 1080 from a friend at a reasonable price, $410. The 1080Ti performed poorly with low FPS thanks to ULTRA settings. I sold it for a profit, now owning a 1080. The issue isn<|pad|>, not the hardware—it's the game itself. It’s poorly optimized, which is disappointing. Currently, I’m running it at high settings to maintain smooth performance. Once the campaign ends, I won’t revisit it again.

The game isn't running well and it's disappointing that Nvidia is offering it away with their graphics cards.

Adaptive vsync and disabling vsync improve the visual experience, while turning off vsync at 30fps prevents screen tearing. I downloaded the game for free and planned to explore the map for about 15 hours, but I can only manage around 20 minutes before it becomes too dull.
