Hello everyone, I'm experiencing low frame rates around 15-20 fps while playing MSFS2020 at 4K in tight spaces, and only about 35 fps in brighter areas. I'm not sure what's causing this issue. Here are my system details: CPU - Ryzen 9 3900X, GPU - Asus Rog Strix 3080TI, RAM - 32GB Ripjaws 3200MHz, CPU core model C14, motherboard - Asus Crosshair Hero X370. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Your configuration involves detailed requirements for the flight simulator, which can be challenging to handle smoothly at high resolutions. Many users experience low frame rates due to these demands.

Thanks! Your settings are set well, but seeing others hit 55 fps with 3080TIs makes you wonder how your system performs.

They might be using the latest generation or the 5000 series Ryzen. These models provide a noticeable improvement at 4K resolution. The difference is likely due to settings or configurations rather than hardware differences.

FS2020 reacts very much to single-core speed. Considered changing to DX12?

Largely from 5000 series and 12th generation chips, yet the difference appears substantial—could your AM4 X370 motherboard be the reason? PCIE 3.0 versus 4.0?

Your Am4 X370 falls within the acceptable range of accuracy. PCIE 3.0 versus 4.0 doesn’t affect performance significantly for high-end GPUs. Any difference under a few percent is just a margin of error. It’s probably related to the faster CPU from the 12th generation or 5000 series, and the settings they use are likely the cause.
