Low fps with 3070?
Low fps with 3070?
Hi everyone, here are my specs:
I5 9600k
3070
16gb ram (1 stick)
I'm playing GTA V and getting 50-70 fps which is quite low. On the new world I'm seeing 30 - 70 fps. All drivers are updated. Anyone have any tips?
the specifications are:
cpu: i5-9600k
ram: 16gb corsai vengeance 3200mhz
storage: seagate firecuda 510 m.2 500gb pci express 3.0 nvme & seagate 1tb baracuda
gpu: geforce rtx 3070
power supply: corsair 650w cv650
motherboard: msi mpg z390 gaming plus
cooling: coolmaser hyper 212
operating system: windows 10
Single channel RAM may affect performance, though the extent is unclear. Adding another stick isn't certain to fit or work properly. It's not the main focus, but a better PSU would be preferable over a CV with a 3070.
I would consider at least an RM or RMx series for the RTX 3000 series.
Single-channel DDR4 3200MT/s at CL16 should perform similarly to DDR3 1600 in dual-channel CL11, though with reduced bandwidth since dual-channel only offers 128bit for memory.
Hi, I'm experiencing extremely high CPU usage between 95-100% in the games I've played (GTA V, Battlefield V and New World). The GPU is only using up to 35% and I'm maintaining around 70fps across all titles, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. Could it be related to the CPU, RAM, or something else? Please help.
Yes, single channel memory is definitely affecting you negatively.
Just a few threads can cause issues with some of the latest games. Titles like Battlefield 5 and 1 have been noted to perform better with at least seven threads, and having more is even better.
Would choosing a different storage option be more beneficial?
