Hi, after upgrading to the RTX 3070 Aorus Master with 8GB GDDR6, I’m experiencing lower performance and noticeable drops in FPS. My system has an R5 3600 with 32GB RAM at 3200MHz and plays 1080p at 60fps. The issue seems to occur when running games like Fortnite with DirectX 12 enabled and high settings—frames are stable but occasionally drop significantly, sometimes to 100-90 FPS for a few seconds. The GPU usage doesn’t reach close to 80%, and CPU and GPU utilization are nearly identical. I’m unsure if the bottleneck is on the GPU or if there’s a driver problem, especially since my AMD setup gives better FPS. What should I do to improve performance?

I didn't download any drivers, and I haven't cleaned out any previous versions.
Nvidia follows this approach, and current GPUs can't be altered directly on released hardware. Perhaps a hardware scheduler will be introduced in future generations... (Ignoring drivers and old DDU support...) It simply reflects how Nvidia's GPUs function now compared to older CPUs that require extra overhead for driver tasks.
I realized now that when I played cod mw with all settings high, the CPU usage would drop to let the GPU handle more work, which caused FPS to spike. When the GPU was doing most of the processing, my FPS increased. I understand this behavior but don’t know why the CPU keeps resuming. I’ll check my approach tomorrow. My FPS was around 170-190, and I boosted the resolution beyond 1080p.
