I have a problem with the GPU/CPU/mother board on my laptop. It works fine for normal tasks, but when it needs GPU power (like gaming), I consistently see poor FPS. The specs—8GB RAM, quad-core i5 Intel, GeForce MX150 with 256GB SSD—should handle games like CSGO at 60+ FPS, yet it only reaches around 15. It worked just once before, during a few matches, and then stopped the next day. I updated drivers, reinstalled Windows several times, and even sent it back to the seller, who said nothing was wrong. My friend bought the same model from the same place at the same time, but his laptop is fine. Is there anything else I should try?

You need additional details.
What are the temperatures?
What is the resolution?
Are the correct drivers installed?

The resolution is 1080p, with CPU and GPU temperatures staying below 90 degrees Celsius. The drivers used were GeForce Experience and the official manufacturer's recommended ones for the laptop.

I have updated last September. I’m sure it can handle the games I want to play using the same laptop experience from friends. I chose this Lenovo Ideapad 330-15ikbr because it offers great value, but in my case it seems to be underperforming. Do you have a checklist to prepare it for gaming?

It operates on two channels. The CPU runs at 1.1-1.6 ghz, GPU usage is at full capacity, and memory consumption stands at 0.7/4 gb.

It could be that the custom power plan you set is helping, but there might be more steps you can take to further enhance performance.
