Low FPS on Warzone with 12900k DDR5/3080Ti?
I've adjusted my setup for optimal performance. The CPU runs at 12900k with full BIOS support across all cores, while the graphics card is a high-end model tuned for maximum output. RAM uses Trident Z5 RGB 6000, fully optimized. The GPU is a powerful Gigabyte 3080Ti Vision, auto-optimized to around 72MHz. I've installed the latest version of Windows 11 and ensured all drivers are up to date. The game runs on a Samsung 980 Pro 2TB drive with a balanced power plan. I've tested various settings but nothing seems to help—especially in Warzone, where even custom resolutions hit 130-140 FPS. Some community tips suggest tweaks like disabling ecores or adjusting process Lasso, but they don't seem to work for me. I'm still trying to figure out what's missing.
I scored 170 on high settings at 1440p (3070), tried high settings but noticed a few low settings I don’t recall. Overall, high settings seemed to increase frame rate oddly. Restarted everything to default. (At default, GPU CPU stays above max power if needed; "high performance" just makes it run hot and slows down.)
Yep... I'm not denying it. : p you should have gotten around 220+ if I had to guess... actually I was planning to do this for a long time (I've got about 30gb of Warzone footage) but it was pretty tough to find the right options, since I tried many different settings (including 4k, etc). There are so many parameters nobody talks about—like streaming, sunlight, and stuff... Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 2021.02.DASETTINGSMADUDE_Cut_Cut_H.264.mp4. Don't worry about the 60fps; that's just custom frame rate. But this was my default setup, mostly high, and the video looked exactly as shown here... (depending on the settings it ranged from 150-170fps max, obviously lower at 4k).
It seems you've likely encountered a crypto mining malware. It spread rapidly among Warzone players, affecting around twenty users who had similar issues. All of them were using RTX 3000 GPUs and reported slow performance specifically in Warzone. Performing a low-level format and a fresh Windows installation, along with a clean Warzone setup, resolved the problem.
You're experiencing the same performance drop you did before. It's possible you've encountered the same issue recently, especially after installing new software. Regarding reinstalling Windows, it's generally safe to restore your files, but always back up important data first. Your i5-4590 GTX1650 should handle most tasks smoothly once optimized.
It might be a possibility or just some unrelated software you installed through third-party tools. I haven't heard of it in CoD, but in many MMORPGs there were such programs used to track DPS. They often hurt performance and raised latency noticeably, making it hard to play well in wars and PvP. Alternatively, the game might have released a patch with graphical or optimization improvements, causing older systems to struggle. Once your system hits the bare minimum requirements, expect various problems with every new patch or DLC. Check a benchmark here—share the outcome and it’ll reveal if something else is affecting your setup beyond Warzone. Yes, with a clean Windows install, all your data disappears, so move your essential files to a safe flash drive or external hard drive.
