Alright so I got a pretty decent build going here cpu:6600k gpu:asus dual rx480 ram:trident z rgb 16gb(3000mhz) cooler:NZXT x62 kraken ssdConfusedamsung evo 250gb hddConfusedeagate barracuda 4tb Alright so whats happening. I recently upgraded my pc from a i7 920 to a i5 6600k and surprisingly there was nearly no fps boost if any at all.(pretty sure some fps got worse for some games) I play a lot of games (Arma 3, rocket league, csgo, overwatch, gta 5,fortnite, rust, etc etc) and on most if not all of these games haven't gotten smoother. Also it seems that I have extremely unstable gpu usage even at idle. If there is any solution or if you need any more details I will be happy to give you them! Thanks! unstable gpu on idle firestrike score

I didn't expect much change just by upgrading the CPU. However, reinstalling all your drivers might help.

The GPU upgrade would have been clear. If your CPU was overclocked, it’s more likely a downgrade or side effect, since Skylake offered limited clock speed.

And remember to check the latest Bios updates! If you haven't yet, make sure you're on the most recent release.

No details are provided about the settings being used or the performance metrics. Without this information, we can't give accurate guidance. It's important to adjust settings appropriately before attempting the games.

Have you tested using a single GPU? Crossfire/SLI often causes problems and should be excluded as the main issue first.

I'm not usually someone who goes all-in on overclocking, but I do it occasionally.
