Low FPS issue on the rig in GTA only
I own a decent setup, visible from my profile. It’s too much effort to maintain and I’m not very motivated. The issue lies with running GTA V on high settings—60 FPS works fine, but occasionally it drops to around 50 FPS or lower, causing noticeable stutter. My GPU reaches its peak around 60 FPS, and my CPU does the same. All drivers are current. Another concern: with VSync enabled, the game runs smoothly, but when you disable it, it feels like you’re playing at about 30 frames per second, making it look choppy.
I've faced the same problem. I disabled anti-aliasing and stored the large 70GB drive on an SSD, and everything functioned smoothly. If this doesn't resolve it, consider reducing shadow settings.
I completed the previous tasks, but I couldn't reinstall the game due to time constraints. I'll attempt it again now, thank you!
The game relies heavily on CPU performance, with results varying based on location and time. Optimizing your CPU made a big difference in GTA V. Your Ryzen is solid, but it seems the game mainly uses single-thread speed rather than multi-core power. With V-sync enabled and frame rates dropping below 60 fps, you'll see the game slow to 30 fps. Turning V-sync off helps stabilize performance. Set adaptive V-sync in your driver—keep it at 60 fps VSync and let it adjust automatically.
