Hey there! Let's chat about your setup and what you're experiencing. I'm new here too, just starting out with Warzone. I play CS as well, so we're on the same page. It's okay to not be great at everything—what matters is being consistent.

You mentioned having a Ryzen 9 5900X with a 32GB RAM setup, plus a gaming monitor that supports 1440p at 144Hz. The main issue seems to be performance drops in Warzone, especially on lower settings. You get around 100 FPS, but it jumps to 140+ on medium and even hits 300 FPS in CS. That's pretty inconsistent.

I noticed you've tried updating the GPU paste and checking fan speeds, which is a good start. The fact that your voltages and power spikes aren't spiking helps too. But you're still seeing ghosting and color issues when the game runs smoothly otherwise.

Are there any specific settings or tweaks you're considering? Maybe adjusting resolution, refresh rate, or frame rate limits could help. Also, have you looked into any driver updates or GPU calibration tools? Let me know what you try next—I'm here to help!

It doesn't matter if you hit 400 FPS in Counter Strike. You're not a professional gamer, and even then, it won't stand out much. Usually, you need to adjust settings and it usually doesn't make a big difference unless you're extremely fast with reactions. Warzone is just a warzone—it's not optimized well, it's a huge open map, and you'll see performance drops around 90-140 FPS. That's typical for games from Activision, especially COD. I still don't get why people upgrade their GPUs unless the cards are old or they haven't been used much.

Additionally, I’m confused about why your framerate gets unlocked to 300+ FPS on a 144Hz display when you won’t notice more than 144. Is this really happening? It seems unlikely, as Linus mentioned frames arriving faster in one of his past videos. I think there might be a misunderstanding here. Please let me know if you’re right.

Seeming to deliver around 100fps feels a bit underwhelming on that setup. I haven’t played around with my PC recently, but with my 5600 and 2070s I’m confident I achieved 90+ at 1440p. I only experimented a little, so it’s possible I didn’t test thoroughly enough to notice any drops, and it was a while ago. Maybe my recollection is fading.

Warzone presents an unexpected challenge. I recommend confirming your preferences and checking for features like ray tracing. Also, 100 frames per second works fine.

that doesn't really make sense without telling us what these voltages are... Tbh, just run firestrike benchmark (part of free demo called 3dmark on steam) and post link to the results here. otherwise I have to assume a settings problem, which is nigh impossible to solve without direct access since the game has a gazillion of weird, mostly nonsensical settings lol. played it, ~170fps, *high* settings, so yeah there's definitely something wrong unless they changed the game so much that it runs like garbage now. Hence -> recommended to run firestrike

uncertain about the approach, but overall it felt pretty seamless with a solid 3600+3070 combo. I ended up capping the framerate at 120 since stability issues arise at higher numbers. It seems none of these titles handle this well—depending on the map and your perspective, frame rates vary. I noticed they tend to drop around 110-190, which is frustrating considering the settings. Locking it at 120 actually prevented a further decline, though I suspect that’s because the game has unusual configurations that boost performance when pushed to high or max levels (probably due to CPU limitations).

It isn't necessarily the toughest title, but it might challenge basic systems if expectations are high. Of course, performance depends on several elements like game resolution, settings, available memory, and background processes.
