Low FPS in Warzone
Low FPS in Warzone
Hello, after a short pause from the conflict zone I’m back, but my computer (same as before) isn’t running as smoothly anymore. I’m unsure why and don’t know what to do. I checked a few forums, downloaded GeForce Experience, and installed the "GeForce Game Ready Driver," though I’m not sure if that’s the right one. It didn’t improve much, so I reinstalled the game which slightly helped with frame rate, but it’s still far below what it used to be. It could be related to cooling—my stock cooler might not be doing enough. I’m not very comfortable with hardware upgrades. Previously I had everything set up and was around 75 FPS, now I’m barely hitting 60 FPS or less, and the game looks much worse than before. I really appreciate if anyone could assist me.
You're using an Intel stock cooler and cleaned it with compressed air because it was very dusty. I'm checking if that helped. I meant before my break from the game, I'm not sure what's been happening—I haven't kept up with the PC scene or Warzone lately.
I get it, placing your PC on top of your desk does help reduce heat. The cooler temperature should make a big difference and improve performance. Since you're not familiar with installation, watching a YouTube tutorial would be a great way to proceed safely.
Looking for ways to improve cooling efficiency. I’m open to suggestions but overwhelmed by choices. Would a Hyper 212 work for you? Just curious. Also, do you have floor carpet installed?
Don't worry, I'll look into it, thanks. Actually, sometimes I let myself relax with the vacuuming and dusting, which left a lot of dust around—especially in the cooler and under the chassis. I think that area is pretty risky now. Since I live in Sweden, during summer I usually kept my door open to improve airflow and keep things cooler. That's probably why I thought it was safe. Just a guess!
