Hello everyone, I noticed on a benchmar site that my setup (RTX 3070 / Ryzen 5 3600 / 16GB RAM) could handle Valorant at about 700fps in low 1080p. But I only see around 200fps, which isn’t great. They fluctuate between 150 and 200 fps. Have you experienced the same issue? Could you share a link to a benchmark showing 700fps?
The 200 fps feels perfect for you, but it’ll put a strain on your CPU, and the 3600 won’t be able to maintain more than that frame rate.
I reviewed the benchmarks to confirm, but even the top hardware reaches 400 fps. 200 fps feels a bit limited for a 3600fps target; 250-300 might work. Make sure your BIOS settings allow enough power, stop background processes, and consider boosting RAM if needed—there could be various reasons causing the slowdown.
I checked what others were experiencing and it looks like the 3600 can hit roughly 260 frames per second on average. That’s close to what you mentioned, though it didn’t quite match your expectations. Typically, they’d see around 300 fps, but when averaged it came out to about 260.
It feels typical to me. Valorant's performance improvements have declined over time. My 10400F receives comparable frames, and for gaming it works roughly like a 3600.
