Hello, I’m experiencing low FPS in Minecraft despite having minimal CPU and GPU load when using SEUS shaders. My overall CPU usage stays around 10-20%, but afterburner shows CPU3, CPU7, and CPU12 are nearly at their limits, while other cores show random spikes near 50% or idle. My GPU is consistently around 40-50%. Since I always enable Vsync, I don’t notice significant FPS drops above 60fps. I also use the Realistico texture pack.

My system details:
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 @4.0 GHz with AIO
GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 SC2
RAM: 16GB (2x8) Team DDR4 @3000MHz
Storage: Kingston A400 120GB SSD
Display: Budget second-hand monitor, 1650x1080 @60 Hz

I haven't played recently, but do you still need to set RAM for it? If yes, I'd raise the allocation and check the outcome.

There remain adjustments to make. For the SEUS shaders, performance is quite demanding. Even with 1440p and Optifine enabled, my 1080Ti barely exceeds 60-70fps while moving.

Yeah, I've set up around 10GB for Minecraft. I've noticed it can exceed 10GB sometimes, but with Chrome running in the background that should cover it. Others mention that because Minecraft runs on Java, it struggles to use all your CPU cores, and my usage stays around 20% max, which is a bit concerning.

Yeah, it's quite demanding, but since I don't own a 1080p panel, my FPS should be fine. Now I also face a lot of stuttering, both with and without shaders. It's a bit disappointing because I really like playing Minecraft with shaders. I have Chocapic extreme shaders, but they don't look as good compared to SUS.

Have you verified if you have the newest Java 64bit installed? Perhaps also check the drivers. Based on your CPU and GPU, I believe this configuration shouldn't cause stuttering. I play on a 1950X which runs around 3.4-3.8GHz, and I often run multiple games at once. A Ryzen 1600 at 4GHz should work fine.
