I receive 25-40 frames per second in GTA Online. GPU consumption ranges from 20% to 65%. CPU utilization is between 45% and 50%. Your setup includes: Ryzen 5 2400G, 16GB RAM (2x8), 2666MHz, RX 580, 8GB, 1680x1050 resolution.

It's typical, online performance tends to drop.

Check if it's using an HDD or SSD; placing it on an SSD might greatly improve performance since the game loads new assets quickly.

I maintain roughly the same frame rate, but my setup is less powerful—specifically an Athlon X4 860k OCd to 3.9GHz, Zotac GTX 970 reference, and I'm playing the game from the old HDD before switching to an SSD.

Current configuration details: resolution scaling set to 2x, graphics card utilization increased, CPU is limiting performance.

Avoid using scalers in advanced graphics settings—they significantly reduce FPS. Also, high grass quality consumes performance even at top levels.

GTA Online often lags compared to story mode, but adjusting certain options can improve performance. First, disable MSAA completely—it’s poorly optimized and causes noticeable frame drops. Switching on FXAA can help reduce aliasing, though it may still impact performance. In advanced graphics settings, lower frame scaling to x1.2 or similar can ease the load. Reduce advanced graphics settings overall and turn off reflection quality and MSAA for reflection effects. These changes should boost frame rates noticeably.
