Wipe down the heatsink and fan, then use high-quality thermal paste such as Thermal Grizzle Kryonaut. Avoid LM paste, as it can damage the cooling performance.

Absolutely, I'm experiencing the same problems with my identical laptop setup.

I own the same laptop and have been facing these problems recently. It was bought under 2 months ago. My CPU temperatures stay below 83°C and the GPU around 68°C. I also notice CPU usage spikes, where my usual 140 fps in COD Warzone drops to just 10. I’m unsure why this happens or if it’s causing throttling. The FPS drop occurs every 10-15 seconds and also happens in Fortnite.

I have done some testing using msi afterburner and found that Gpu1 stays around 75-80°C, Gpu2 stays under 70°C, and the Cpu temp still never goes above 83°C. Gpu2 usage often reaches around 97% usage. That is when the cpu usage spike occurs, and Mhz drops an incredible amount. Idk how there could be a cpu bottleneck. Plz correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Gpu1 is the integrated graphics since it has a similar temp to the cpu. Each usage spike/fps dip has actually been happening every 3-5 secs (not 10-15).

Checked the bios in the update manager for Armory Crate. Current version is X.Y, using drivers Z1 and W2. Still struggling to hit 140fps.

I believe I identified the issue. My increased CPU consumption comes from handling graphics not just on the GPU, but also on the CPU itself. I’m unsure how to rely solely on my graphics card instead of using the integrated CPU graphics during games.

Hey everyone, I’m using an ASUS GA502 and ran into the same issues earlier today. I discovered a way to assign different GPUs to each program. The guide on switching to the dedicated NVIDIA GPU helped a lot—most of the stuttering, low FPS, and CPU problems disappeared. I think reapplying thermal paste might be useful too, as someone else mentioned.
