Low FPS Fortnite version for better performance.
Hello Linus Community, I opened Msi Afterburner to monitor my FPS in Fortnite. I’m seeing around 70 FPS, but it drops to 20 or lower. My CPU usage stays high at 90-100%, while my GPU usage is only 20-40%. All settings are low, 3D resolution at 100%, multi-thread rendering enabled, and DirectX 11 is active. I’ve watched your YouTube videos about close multi-threading and high textures, but it doesn’t improve. My specs are: motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z77P-D3, Intel i5 3350p (4 cores, 4 threads), 4GB RAM. My GPU is Asus ROG Strix RX 570 (8GB). Please advise what I should do. Thanks, Taha Demir.
Consider upgrading RAM to 1600Mhz if it works well for a performance lift. Set the FPS cap between 60-65fps to maintain stability and reduce CPU strain. Try minimizing background processes in Windows settings for better CPU efficiency. Optimizing system settings and reducing background apps can help achieve higher minimum frame rates without overloading the GPU. Keep in mind that achieving full GPU utilization depends on additional configuration details. Your options are limited, but adjusting frequency and using a lower frame cap can improve results.
