Hi! Your Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro with that i5-1135g7 processor is facing issues keeping up with 85-90 fps in Valorant. I hope someone can help you find a fix.

They look to get roughly the same FPS as you - I think the game is probably running on the XE graphics and not the mx450.

I configured everything in the nvidia control panel to use the mx 450, valorant also does but the task manager indicates it only uses 10% of the gpu's resources. Pubg is unaffected, and I maintain the same fps in pubg as in valorant.
Yes, all information is current. I’m not certain which driver is active, but I got it yesterday via the NVIDIA Experience.
The GPU temperature is about 60 degrees Celsius, I have no idea about the CPU, but it doesn’t feel hot. It shouldn’t be the issue since pubg runs smoothly. The RAM is 2x8gb, nothing is at full capacity. I plan to download msi afterburner once I get home, but I don’t think it’s necessary.
This might be an issue only with Valorant, have you experimented with other games that put more strain on the GPU? As a test, you could install and launch the demo version of 3D Mark Time Spy to compare performance against other systems and confirm if your GPU is functioning properly.
Checking your screen resolution and settings for Valorant would also help—typically around 200 fps at 1080p with high settings on a comparable laptop setup, but lower at higher resolutions like 1440p.
