I have a GTX 1070 8GB, Ryzen 7 1700 OC at 3.5 GHz, 16GB RAM 2133MHz, and an X370 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard. My frame rates are unexpectedly low in games like Overwatch, Battlefield 5, PUBG, and Fallout 76, despite my hardware specifications. I've observed other users with comparable systems achieving significantly higher frame rates. My monitor is connected directly to the graphics card, not the motherboard.

I am having difficulty achieving a consistent 100 frames per second in Overwatch across all low settings, and the experience still does not feel particularly fluid.

Does your FPS drop further on higher settings? Consider investing in higher frequency RAM, as 3200MHz is the standard for Ryzen builds.

Slow RAM has hampered CPU performance. Systems exhibiting improved performance often utilize faster RAM. Ryzen’s performance relies on its Infinity Fabric, necessitating substantial memory bandwidth. A recommended minimum RAM specification for a Ryzen build is DDR4 2933 in dual channel.
