Hey everyone. I'm experiencing some FPS problems lately. I play competitive games like CS2, but the final scores aren't as good as expected and I notice frequent FPS drops. I'm not sure if switching to DirectX 11 would help since I already have DirectX 12 installed. My PC specs are: GPU - RTX 4060 (8GB), CPU - Intel i5-11400F, RAM - 16GB Kingstone Fury, 3200MHz.

What speed are you seeing? The 4060 provides steady performance, though it isn't the top choice.

For your graphics card, perform a benchmark to compare scores, such as 3D Mark Timespy. For your CPU, consider using Cinebench (an older version would be more straightforward to find comparable results). If everything functions correctly, you can examine your game settings. Gamers Nexus provides some data that covers your CPU: Techpowerup reviewed Counter-Strike 2 benchmark results here – https://www.techpowerup.com/review/count...sis/5.html. It seems you might see an average of 200 fps at 1080p, though performance can fall to around 100 fps.

Should I upgrade to a better CPU to prevent the FPS drop or not? Someone mentioned for 1080p with RTX 4060 it’s better with a Ryzen 5 7600X or an i5 13600K.
