specs: i9-10900f rx 7900 xtx nitro+ with 16gb 2600mhz ram (this isn't a bottleneck, I've confirmed it) 700w psu (I've tested it and there are no issues, even at 450Ws - note that during CSGO I reached a maximum of 130W). SSD: mx500 1tb. I'm seeing 150fps with video playback, 200 on off. This is unusual because with my rx590 (a nearly 5-year-old GPU) I achieved higher fps. Also, when playback was active on my GPU, utilization stayed at 90% or more, dropping to 30%-60% otherwise. Fresh drivers installed yesterday. I can hit over 180fps in tougher games like Death Stranding on ultra. Others have reported similar issues but resolved them. Could this be a driver problem or specific to CSGO?

The processor struggles with single-threaded tasks and causes GPU limitations, especially at higher resolutions. Are you playing games at 1080p?

So funny thing. If the gpu is used too little (which is the case with cs:go) it will go into a low power state as it thinks there is no need for extra speed. Max out settings in cs:go or go into the amd driver and tell it that cs:go NEEDS high performance assigned

It's okay since the older graphics card handled it well. The issue likely comes from the newer GPU being too powerful for the situation.

He was able to turn off the Ultra Low Power State and also shut down Multiplane Overlay.
